a village in Etawah district, in the Uttar Pradesh State, this was the first block of Independent India in 1950, and a pea factory was established here with the help of USA government, this village also played a significant role in the time of freedom struggle, that time Mahewa was cames in the Lakhana Esate.[1] Very few people know this village, but this is the first block of India. There is very old temple of Raam Janki, that was made by the land lord of Mahewa, Pt Gur Narayan Chaube in 1912 before the independence of India.
There is a big pond of lotus in the middle of the village called mahapatra made by the revenue inspector Bhagvati Prasad Shrivastava of British time is in front of mango garden, due to that pond and beauty of lotus district collector of Etawah came to this village during British time.
