is one of the small towns of Assam, India. This is a sub-divisional headquarters of Kokrajhar district (BTAD). The inhabitants are diverse, religiously. This place is well connected by Ground transportation and rail roads, hence is a good business place. It has a small river (Madati), and forested areas which include such saleable trees as Shorea robusta (sal), Tectona grandis (teak). Mornai Tea Estate is also important. Many people from this small town and its neighboring villages are higher officials of India and abroad. This place practices organic farming, also modern agriculture following recent scientific developments.
