A variety of Śrutajñāna (articulate knowledge) the articulate knowledge which is related with linguistic symbols such as alphabetical letters etc.; it is communicated through three types of linguistic symbols, viz., Sanjnākṣara, Labdhyakṣara and Vyanjanākṣara. Akkharasuyaṃ tivihaṃ paṇṇattaṃ, taṃ jahāsaṇṇakkharaṃ, vaṃjaṇakkharaṃ, laddhiakkharaṃ.
