Believer in uselessness of knowledge - A heretic philosopher who, repudiating know­ledge as the means of attainment of the libera­tion, believes only in performance (of penance etc.) as its means.

Ajñānavādinastvāhuḥ - apavargaṃ pratyannpayogitvāt jñānasya. kevalaṃ kaṣṭaṃ tapa evanuṣṭheyaṃ, na hi kaṣṭaṃ vineṣṭasiddhiḥ.
