Indriyapratyakṣa

Direct sensory perception- Cognition of any object through sensory perception. It is of five kinds: Śrotrendriya Pratyakṣa, Cakṣurindriya Pratyakṣa, Ghrāṇendriya Pratyakṣa, Jihvendriya Pratyakṣa and Sparśanendriya Pratyakṣa (direct sensory perception respectively through auditory, ocular, olfactory, gustatory, tactile sense organs). Actually, it is a mediate cognition.

iṃdiyaṃ ti- puggalehiṃ saṃṭhānanivvattirūvaṃ davviṃdiyaṃ soiṃdiyamādiiṃdiyāṇaṃ savvātappadesehiṃ svāvaraṇakkhatovasamāto jā laddhī taṃ bhāviṃdiyaṃ, tassa paccakkhaṃ ti iṃdiyapaccakkhaṃ... paramatthao puṇa ciṃtamāṇaṃ etaṃ parokkhaṃ.

iṃdiyapaccakkhaṃ paṃcavikaṃ paṇṇattaṃ, taṃ jahā- soiṃdiyapaccakkhaṃ cakkhimdiyapaccakkham ghāṇidiyapaccakkhaṃ jibbhiṃdiyapaccakkhaṃ phāsiṃdiyapaccakkhaṃ.
