The Astha Prakari Puja and Dev Shastra Guru Puja are on Sunday September 04th for all youth. It is not necessarily only for the Pathashala students.
All youth must be at the temple by 9:45 AM.
Parents, please read the following instructions.
1. All children younger than 9 must be accompanied by one of their parents.
2. Children should wear clean freshly washed traditional Indian clothes; preferably special puja clothes if they have them. Please do not wear pants, jeans, or shorts.
3. After wearing puja clothes, children should not eat anything. The puja clothes cannot be worn in bathrooms.
4. Parents should bring the following items for their children in one dish.
- One fruit. Please bring only apples or oranges. (Please do not bring soft fruits like banana, peach, plum, and grapes. Many soft fruits may have fruit flies and it is difficult to handle soft fruits after the puja.)
- A large size mouth cloth (Handkerchief)
- 1/3 cup of rice
- Whole almonds (If you have them)
- One piece of dry sweet (e.g. Barfi or Peda if you have them)
- One to three coins
- Flowers - no more than three (Optional)
Please note that all adults will be permitted to perform puja after the children’s puja program is complete, which may be around 12:30 PM.
Everyone must come at 9:45 am. The children’s puja will start promptly at 10:00 AM. Lunch will be served after the puja.
