Invitation to be part of Dashalakshana Parva: 6th Sep to 15th Sep 2016.
Jai Jinendra
Dear members, as you all know Dasha Lakshan Parva is a festival of ten virtues observed by all Digambar Jains for 10 days (This year from 06th Sep to 15th 2016).
This is the most auspicious and holiest day for Janis across globe.
These ten days are mainly to listen and understand Thirtankar Bhagavan’s Vani (Preaching).
It’s an opportunity for us to self energise, learn about yourself, to know what we are doing, to know what we are going to do and to know how best we can do for ourselves and for the living being.
As everyone is busy in one or the other way and may not visit temple, may not do fasting, may not do swadhya (read Jain holy books), do not have time to be part of Dashalakshan Parv even though we all want.
But sure we all have time at least to login Facebook once a day to understand the importance of each day.
Since the page started we have decided to post Dashalakshna Parv in this Facebook page for all the 10 days.
We are going to post each days highlight (Dasha Dharma- ten main teachings of Thirtankar Bhagavan) for 10 day.
We request and encourage every member to read, understand and to practice.
We request all the members to start Dashalakshan Parva practising (Promise yourself) to speak less, to be calm, to be polite, to be humble, to be good, to be content, to be self-control, to be happy, to forgive, to detached from unwanted things and practice to continue the same in your daily life. If possible please to be vegan (not to take any dairy products - Milk and its by-products).
Hope you all agree with us and will be part of Dashalakshna parv and also encourage everyone, your near and dear one to participate in this holy event.
During these 10 days we strictly observe the following 10 dharma as written in Tattvarthdhigama Sutra ch. IX, sloka 6 by Acharya Umaswami.
