As you are well aware that JAINA brings a wonderful Convention event every other year, packed with many exciting programs in coordination with our entire community and several Sanghs from North America as well as many countries of the world. This is one event, we all have seen thousands of participants - young and old - attending to learn through Spiritual Dignitaries and Professional Speakers and also enjoy the entire event with friends and families. We foresee 5,000 - 6,000 participants in upcoming convention this year.
Keeping in mind Albert Einstein's famous pronouncement “Science without religion is lame and religion without science is blind”, 2017 JAINA Convention has chosen "Jainism & Science" as its theme.
JAINA Convention 2017 plans to publish a colorful souvenir with articles on Jainism's compatibility with Science in dealing with ecological, biological, ethical, political or economic issues facing us. Our biennial convention souvenir is seen by thousands of North American Jains and preserved in their homes for years. We invite students, scholars, monks or thought leaders to present papers in either English, Gujrati or Hindi exploring convention theme. The initial deadline for submitting abstracts of your intended submission is January, 31, 2017. You will be notified if your proposal is accepted and deadline for final submission and other guidelines will be provided to you.
