Jitanidra

That ascetic (Muni), who has vanquished sleep; such Muni sleeps only for a while and is not hindered by sleep while he is performing the contemplation over the scriptural text and its meaning in the night hours.

jitanidraḥ - alpanidraḥ, sa hi rātrau sūtramarthaṃ vā paribhāvayan na nidrayā bādhyate.
