Darpapratiṣevaṇā

To indulge in the Pratiṣevaṇā (indulging in trans­gression like prāṇātipāta (injuring or killing a living being etc.)) out of sheer arrogance or insti­gation due to attachment or due to aversion.

dappo puṇa vaggāṇāīo iti vacanāt. tasmādāgamapratiṣiddhaprāṇātipātādyāsevāyā sā darppapratiṣevaṇā.
