Niṣadha

Name of one of the six Varṣadhara mountains, (upholding the Varṣas or the seven regions of the Jambūdvīpa);

it is situated in the south of Mahāvideha Kṣetra, north of Harivarṣa, west of Eastern Lavaṇasanmdra and east of Western Lavaṇasamudra and it acts as the dividing line between Harivaṃśa and Videha regions.

mahāvidehassa vāsassa dakkhinenam, harivāsassa uttarenam, puratthimalavanasamuddassa paccatthimenam,paccatthimalavanasamuddassa puratthimenam, ettha nam jambuddīve dive nisahe nāmam vāsaharapavvae pannatte.

harivaṃśavidehayorvibhaktā niṣadhaḥ.
