Madhavaram is a taluk (administrative region) in north Chennai city in Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located between Perambur and Kodungaiyur. As of 2011, the town had a population of 119,105.TN chief minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has announced that Madhavaram will be transferred to an expanded Chennai district in April 2018.
