JSGD Temple Update

Jai Jinendra Society Members

Hope everyone is in good Saata.

We would like to give you an update on the Mahavir Janm Kalyanak event and post that. The MJK event was on 11-Apr-21 from 10:00am till 12:45 pm. It was virtual event with only sponsors and volunteers present in the Temple. It was also their discretion and decision whether to be in the Temple or not during the event. Post MJK event, one of the members present during the event in the Temple, reported to us late Friday 16-Apr-21 that the COVID test was positive. Following this information, we got the Temple sanitized and cleaned the next day 17-Apr-21. We also called all the members who were in the Temple on MJK and informed them about this. This member then, got re-tested on Sunday 18-Apr-21 and the 2nd test came negative. The member’s physician concluded that the 1st test was not correct, a false alarm. We are glad to hear that the member is safe.

This does remind us on some important protocols and guidelines. Please make sure that you monitor your health and if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and DONOT come to the Temple. Please sign the waiver form clearly and completely, one per family, for every visit. This waiver form helps in contact tracing.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends contacting your doctor if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and other symptoms, such as coughing or difficulty breathing. More information can be found at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-sick.html or the Oakland County Health Department.

As a reminder, it is again a members discretion and decision whether to come to the Temple or not. We have provisions for Live Darshan if you are wish to take the laabh remotely. Please continue to stay safe and keep others safe. If a member is visiting the Temple, they are required to practice and comply with the State restrictions, CDC guidelines, and the protocols listed below:

  1. Enter through the Entry door and exit through the Exit door to avoid crossing paths
  2. Sign the waiver form, one per family, for every visit. This waiver form helps in contact tracing.
  3. Use the shoe rack
  4. It is MANDATORY to cover your mouth and nose with cloth face cover/ mask while inside the Temple at all times
  5. Avoid close contact and maintain at least 6 feet distance with others. The social distancing markers are placed around the Prayer Hall.
  6. No socializing in temple or in parking lot.
  7. Please limit the number of people inside the prayer hall to 25. You may have to wait outside the prayer hall for others to come out.
  8. Please limit the time inside the prayer hall to maximum of 15 min so that others are not waiting outside.
  9. Members are NOT permitted to do Abhishek or touch any Bhagwanji, Aarti Thali, Ghantaji, chair or any common pooja material.
  10. Members are not permitted to cross the taped-out areas.
  11. Basement, Kitchen remain closed and changing clothes in temple is NOT permitted.
  12. Monitor your health. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and DONOT come to the Temple.
Our Temple will continue to remain open every morning and evening during the following hours:

Morning hours: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
Evening hours: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The Bhumati area will also remain open so that members can do the Parikrama around the 24 Bhagwans. In addition, members who wish to sit down and do certain puja will also be able to do so in the marked areas. However, to continue to stay safe, members will not be permitted to touch the Idols as sanitization is still a concern.

Once again, Thank you all for your support, encouragement and patience during these trying times. Anumodana to you all. If we have hurt anyone’s feelings, knowingly or unknowingly, MICCHAMI DUKHADAM.
