Dr. Ashok Bapna

Dr. Ashok Bapna, Organizing Secretary General of the Conference and Director, IILM Academy of higher Learning Jaipur wrapped up the discussion and proposed a vote of thanks. He stressed on the urgency of pondering on the relevance and pros and cons of the relative economic system. Unfortunately, even the most developed countries of the world are speechless and mute when asked for an answer on tomorrow's sustainable world. He said that we need to take care of the Mother Earth and its offspring. The depleting ozone layer is a matter of grave concern. The world is at such an impasse where we cannot afford to have indiscreet depletion of resources. The urge for aggrandizement is destroying the very foundation of human society. Indeed it is Acharya Mahapragya's vision that provides a blue print for a sustainable world. He wishes to set up an International Centre for Relative Economic System, to look into the pros and cons of the present economic system, analyze the trends and provide a system that is sustainable and the present conference is a result of this vision. War, Dr. Bapna said, begins in the minds of men, and hence we should start our journey from this mind which has no caste, creed and boundaries. Human beings on this earth are all alike and have walked together to make it sustainable and a place worth living. He highlighted the role of Acharya Mahapragyaji convincing the people about the need for peace and non-violence and advised him for having crossed the frontiers of Jainism, but his message should reach and percolate to a wider and global audience if the world is to be emancipated from violence and hatred for which we need to make greater efforts.

He concluded by quoting Robert Frost,

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep.

And miles to go before I sleep

And miles to go before I sleep.

Dr. Bapna's address was followed by a brief memento presentation ceremony.
