Rajkot Voluntary Blood Bank (RVBB) was inaugurated by Padmashri, (Late) Mrs Leela Moolgaokar, the founder chairperson of the RVBB - the first of its kind in the city to serve safe quality blood on December 6th, 1981. Throughout the years there have been many important achievements and events at RVBB as it strives to collect and provide life-saving blood.

Indian Medical Scientific Research Foundation (IMSRF) was established on April 18th, 1991 and subsequently, the Thalassæmia Eradication Program was also started in 1993.

Thalassæmia Major is a deadly genetic disorder/disease for which the treatment is painful, expensive and in the end can rarely extend life into adulthood. For Thalassæmia there is no cure - only prevention.

The general public is not aware of the seriousness of Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) diseases and disorders that can sometime become fatal, if not treated or rehabilitated. Rural and poorer people often do not have access to ENT facilities.

To combat this, the Rajkot ENT Diagnostic Centre has qualified Otorhinolaryngologists, Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists who perform comprehensive diagnosis of all the conditions and disorders related to Ear, Nose and Throat in both the ENT centre in Rajkot and in ENT-camps in the surrounding area. Realizing the importance of having a green environment for the good health of people, the Greenfield Project was launched in Saurashtra to support forestation and conservation in November 1990.
After being nurtured for 30 to 40 months, trees are given, along with planting methodology and upkeep, to the public and government institutions to plant on their premises. More...

A lively complex with 45,000 sq. ft. of utility area on seven levels. The structure is situated at Racecourse ring road, a prime location in Rajkot for which 1250 Sq. Meters. of land was donated by Rajkot Municipal Corporation.

This building has been specially designed under one roof to house various activities and services of the project 'Life'. It also provides administration, exhibition, conferencing and auditorium facilities for communication activities.

The architecture, structure and facilities match the world standards and the building has won awards for its construction including "The Most Outstanding Concrete Structure" of India for 1997 by the American Concrete Institute.
