►206th Acharya Bhikshu’s Death Anniversary Ceremony

Acharya Mahapragya: Feeling of “Ego” and “Me” breaks the organizations & society

“Acharya Bhikshu laid the foundation of Terapanth order, this is well known fact. But the rules and discipline he had implemented 250 years ago is still in existence, this is something extraordinary & wonder. Many changes happen with changing time in organization. Even it is divided & sub divided. Acharya Bhikshu had put such bricks of sacrifices & penance that the people opposing Terapanth also accept that organization like Terapanth can serve humanity the best”.

Acharya Mahapragya addressing the devotee on the 206th Death Anniversary of Acharya Bhikshu

These views are expressed by Acharya Mahapragya on the occasion of 206th Death Anniversary of Acharya Bhikshu. Further detailing his principles, he said his scarifies & penance practice was exceptional. He established the Terapanth on pure practice of spirituality. Stability comes when there is spirituality. “Ego” & “Me” are the two terms that can break up the organization and society. In Terapanth, none of the monks can initiate his/her disciple. If this were allowed, then today Terapanth would be scattered in pieces. There is one directive embedded in Terapanth to respect the elders/ ancestors. We should respect and consider the guidelines and direction given by our elders. And it acceptance is possible only when the organization has the quality of peeling off the “Ego” & “Me”. The second benchmark of organization is the evaluation of capabilities. The work delegation, the power authorization should be on the basis of capabilities. I have made Mahashraman Yuvacharya on the basis of his capabilities only. This aspect has put the Terapanth intact till now. Another important behavioral aspect is the feeling of belongingness. Leader who takes care tenderly this sophisticated yet strongest bond of belongingness, gave the team a stable foundation along with the success.

Self-discipline is also one of the strongest pillars in the foundation of Terapanth. Acharya Bhikshu himself was much disciplined and always wants it to be the breath of Terapanth. In Terapanth discipline means first self discipline and then stimulates other to be disciplined.

Today in spite of just praising, we should go thoroughly to his life and do analysis.

Yuvacharya Mahashraman sang a song composed by Acharya Mahapragya to pay tribute to astonishing personality. Many other monks, nun & devotees expressed their honor to great Acharya.
