►511 lens transplanted in Eye Lens Transplantation Movement

Eye Lens Transplantation Movement started on 22 September 2008 by Mahapragya Seva Prakalpis creating an environment of eyesight awareness in the rural areas of Jaipur district. In nearly 18 villages, more than 2000 people have been benefited by the services of eye testing & care consultancy at camp. Eye lens transplantation has been done to 511 people in operation theatre established at Padamjyoti Eye hospital, Padampura.
Coordinator of camp & President of Mahapragya Seva Prakalp Shri Naresh Mehta told that with the help of Anti Blindness Samiti, this movement will be continued for two months and will cover the 90 rural places and the target is to transplant the lenses to 5000 needed people. All arrangements at camp are free of cost. He also gave the information that people is showing good interest in utilizing this camp’s services. On 2 October, checking camp will be organized at Tungagram of Dausa district & Laban of Jaipur.
