During camp, our day starts by 4:15 am. It took nearly 30 min. to ready for the first class of preksha meditation taken by Saman Siddhpragya. Mind and body took 2-3 days to adjust in the atmosphere of meditation from the world of external affairs. During first two days there was lot of body movement in 45 min. class. But slowly it becomes flexible and in last four days, many of us are quiet comfortable in doing meditation in standing posture with hardly few moments. The morning class ends by 5.30 am. After class we all go directly to Bhikshu Vihar for darshan of Acharya Mahapragya, Yuvacharya Mahashraman, Sadhvipramukha Kankprabha ji and other saints & Samanis. This is half n hour activity. After this we had aasan - pranayam (exercise class) from 6 am - 7.00 am. During this class we came to know how stiff our body was. Trainer of this class was Mahavir ji. He had very good knowledge of aasans and guides in very softly about the correct posture, benefits and precaution to be taken. One of the participants Aina, who was not able to do padmaasan before, had been in padmaasan for 5 min. continuously on the seventh day of camp. This was indeed a very good class which has wiped off toxins layers especially from joints of body and brings back the original elasticity to some extent.

After 7, we were having a break for daily routine & breakfast. After satisfying the stomach with breakfast, free from oil & spices, we move to our next 8:15 am theory class taken by Muni Kumarshraman ji. This class is basically to understand the preksha meditation & its eight components in detail. Most of the participants were new to Preksha Meditation hence they had lot of queries to satisfy the thirst. This class generally ended with a small experiment of meditation so that participants can feel what had been taught.

All these classes were held in the calm environment of Tulsi Adhyatm Nidam’s meditation hall where Acharya Mahapragya himself practiced meditation for years. Now after reconstruction, it becomes more attractive and comfortable.

After finishing the theory class, we all rushed to Sudharma Sabha where daily discourse is organized. On the opening day, Acharya Mahapragya & Yuvacharya Mahashraman gave the guidance for making a camp a turning point in life. Yuvacharya Shree recited the five vows to be practiced by mediation’s participants during camp wholeheartedly.

These five vows are:

1.

Bhav Kriya

Do everything with full awareness. Employ the consciousness fully with the action.

2.

Pratikriya Virati

Not to react. Avoid reaction behaviour during the interaction.

3.

Maitree

Be friendly to everything, even to self.

4.

Mit Bhasan

Speak only when required. Use the words very carefully. If possible try to spend much time in silence introspecting with self.

5.

Mittaahar

Eat less then required. Overeating is one of the hurdles in proper practicing the meditation.

We all took the vows with full spirit and feeling to follow the same during the camp.
