"Celebrating Non-Violence"
Conference on Capitol Hill
Dear Jains in North America,
JAINA invites you to the first-ever, "Celebrating Non-Violence" legislative conference on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009. You will have an opportunity to promote 21st-century Ahimsa diplomatically.
Co-supported by JAINA, the American Jewish Committee (AJC), and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), this conference will enable Jains to become more politically active on issues important to our community.
The conference will take place from 9 am - 2 pm on October 7th with U.S. government officials. In the evening, our members are invited to attend an exclusive reception to honor the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's visit to India, hosted by the AJC, AAPI, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
If you would like to join us for this momentous event in Jains making US history and network with Government officials, please fill the form by clicking here. Due to limited seats, we apologize in advance if we are unable to accommodate you. The cost for the event will be a nominal $35 per person paid to JAINA which will include the cost for the reception, dinner, and conference event.
