About: | |
The present book " Yogic Kriyayen" (Yogic Physical Exercises) by Muni Kishan Lai gives an easy method which can be followed by everybody, even the novice who has had no experience of this discipline. These exercises are an integral part of Yoga. Preksha Meditation, propounded by Acharya Shri Mahaprajna, is a very comprehensive system that gives an important place to the Yogic exercises. Muni Kishan Lalji has had the opportunity to work with many practitioners of Yoga at different centres in the country. By his efficient conducting of Asana courses and Yogic exercises to students inside the country and abroad, (specially Japan, Holland, Italy and Taiwan) Muniji has earned a name, that he fully deserves.
The present publication, elaborately illustrated, has behind it the experience of a master who is always seeking to find the best and easiest ways to maintain health-both physical and spiritual, for a balanced life. This publication is an important addition to the literature in Life sciences. He has fulfilled the earnest request of his foreign students, especially the Japanese practitioners, by writing this book.
Yogic Kriyayen contains 13 exercises pertaining to face, spinal cord and abdomen, and lastly hands and feet (motor organs). If one is not in a position to devote more time in Asanas etc., due to his busy life, he can at least take up these exercises at any place, at any time, for any duration in his busy life, and feel active, vital and vigor without any boredom and fatigue.
Muni Kishan Lalji has really done a Yeoman's service in bringing out this book, thereby adding a new dimension to the age-old methodology of postures, the Yogasanas and suggesting these useful exercises for all human beings.
The author will continue in his mission, I believe, of spreading the Yoga discipline in all sections of the people -irrespective of their caste or creed and for the general welfare of the humanity at large.
I am grateful to the Canadians - Mrs. Irena and Mr. Michael for their kindness in going through the proofs and also enriching the publication by their valuable suggestions.
Shri R.S. Soni of Research Dept. and Shri Navin K. Dharamsey deserve thanks for correcting proofs of this English version.
