Last year brought an end to JAINpedia events and exhibitions at partner institutions, however it was still an eventful year for us.
The Institute of Jainology has been busy developing education materials, and a highlight this season is the Jain community in India achieving minority status.
JAINpedia has added a new partner institution and several new articles.

Mr Sudhir Lodha Indian State Minorities Member of Government of Tamil Nadu has been the driving force behind Jains achieving 'Minority Status' in India. The Institute of Jainology, played a large part as an International organisation and is delighted with this accomplishment. Institute of Jainology Director, Dr Mehool Sanghrajka was invited as a keynote speaker at the JAINA conference in 2013. With 3 Keynote sessions and speaking on 2 panel-led sessions, it was packed schedule.
This years Ahimsa Day, impacted many and was complemented with a lecture by the winner, Dr Melanie Joy at the British Library, after the award event at the House of Commons.
JAINpedia has gained a new partner, and has been adding manuscripts from the Royal Asiatic Society's (RAS) collection, along with further related articles and contextual information.
In addition to the new RAS material, the JAINpedia team has been working hard on completing contextual information on manuscripts and producing more articles. One such article is about the famous and mystical poet Ānandghan.
