TPF Raipur successfully organized an interactive programme on "Professionalism in Family Business" in the auspicious presence of Renowned Speaker Mr. Sanjay Jain on 16th November 2014, Sunday at 10.00 AM at Vrindavan Hall, Civil Lines, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The programme started with Mangalcharan presented by Dr. Mamta Jain, Mrs Shobha Sethia, Mrs Ritu Pokarna and Mrs Indu Lodha. It was followed by Sangh Gaan presented by Mr Sunil Jain, Mr Jayant Bhura, Mr Avinash Jain and Mr Navin Jain. After this Mr Kaushal Gandhi humbly welcomed all the dignitaries present in the program. The Program was initiated with welcome note of Mr. Mahavir Prasad Jain, President of TPF, Raipur Branch.
Ritu Choraria, The Zonal Vice President, Eastern Zone and Editor of TPF Quarterly Magazine briefly described the objectives and activities of Terapanth Professional Forum. She narrated that TPF came into existence to bring the intellectual capital of the sangh on a common platform for ensuring their contribution to the society to the extent of their capabilities. TPF Raipur is engaged in developing the human resources with a belief that changing the behaviour of a person will result in change in the face of a society and thereby the country. She also informed that the TPF, Raipur has organized more than 40 workshops for personality grooming that indicates its activeness in this noble cause.
On the subject "health awareness" she informed that we create awareness in health sector for proactive measures to remain healthy rather than organising relief camps. TPF is also actively engaged in guiding the young generation in selecting their career path. TPF believes in evolving oneself in true sense. To achieve these goals we focus on imparting training in Meditation, Philosophy, Anuvrat, Life Science and other spectrums of one's life. TPF has introduced a prestigious programme; "Udaan" that aims at providing 100% scholarship to the needy students aspiring higher education.
Mr Vipul Jain, member of TPF, Raipur Branch, introduced Mr. Sanjay Kr. Jain, MBA (Gold Medalist, IIM Ahmedabad), ACS, ACMA & MD, T.T. Limited the key speaker of the programme, in a fascinating manner and requested him to address the gathering on the Topic "Professionalism in Family Business".
He briefly explained the need of bringing professionalism in family owned enterprises. The pros and cons of professionalizing the family business were discussed in an interactive form. He suggested the time frame for introducing the systematic approach in family business and shared the tips for making a family owned enterprise into a professionally managed organization. He emphasized on running a family business in a professional manner to cope up with the challenges coming on account of the rapidly changing business scenario; achieving speedy growth and converting a small enterprise into a institutionalized business structure. He advised everyone to think over their vision and plans. He advised and emphasized for "Out of box" thinking which can make ourselves a bit different from others.

He also suggested certain tips to professionalise such as Constitution of Advisory board of experts, hiring the right consultants for different areas and providing the requisite training to family members.
Mr. Sanjay Jain has written an article on relationship between Jain principles and their importance in business. A brief description of some of these principals and how they are beneficial in the business are narrated here.

After discussing the topic "Professionalizing of Family Business", Mr Sanjay Jain elaborated regarding the program 'UDAAN'. Under this programme 100% scholarship is granted for tuition fees and also for other expenses like hostel, exam fees etc. He informed that the programme gives weightage to the merit and aptitude of the students, whose family income is not more than Rs. 5 lacs per annum in metro cities and 3 lacs other places. The programme is open to all the students irrespective of their caste/creed/sex/religion means a programme in the sphere of "Sarvajan Hitaay".
Inspired by the words of the eminent speaker and impressed with the noble cause of the program, Mr S. K. Jain, Chairman, Disha Group of Institutes, promised to reserve 10 seats in Disha Institutes for this programme (2 in MBA; 5 in engineering; 2 in legal and one seat in nursing programs). TPF Raipur whole heartedly welcomes this gesture.
Other eminent guests Mr B.L Jain, Sambhav Group of Industries; Mr. Gautam Chourdiya; Honourable District Magistrate, Durg; Mr N C Jain; Senior Chartered Accountant and TPF National Executive Committee member Shri Surendra Choraria also shared their views.
Second session of the program was about investing in the Mutual Funds. On behalf of IDBI Mutual Fund, the guest speaker Mr Mohan Agrawal, free lance investment consultant and ex-executive of Citi Bank, briefed about different segments of investment according to different age-groups.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr Basant Goel, Secretary, TPF Raipur Branch. Mr. Kaushal Gandhi coordinated the entire programme in a lucid manner. The Programme had a great success with the blessings and presence of more than 160 persons. The participation was not only from Chhattisgarh but also from Orissa state.
