Eighth day of Dashalakshna parva: Uttama Tyaga (Renunciation) - To give up all the bad qualities & over possession, which is stopping us in the journey of Moksha.

Jain Monks renunciation is at the highest level (Mahavratha), they not only renounce the household but also their clothes.

We has a layman (Shravak/Sharvaki) practice (Anuvratha) renunciation by Vyavahara (outside) and Nischya (inside).

a) Vyavahara(Outside): Practice Aparigraha & renounces which is more than our minimum/basic requirements (less language more comfort), practice to use all the available resources in a meaningful way (Not to over use/misuse/abuse).
If we possess anything more than our basic need or not using it, then we should give it to others/needy.

b) Nischtya(Inside): Renouncing all our kashaya like - Desires/passion, Ego, Anger, Greedy, Jealous, emotions - which is the root cause of misery is "Nischay Uttam Tyaga", which is possible only by contemplating with the true nature of the Soul.

The final renunciation is Deha tyaga (Soul renouncing the physical body) to attain Samadi maran.

Note: We request all the members to start Dashalakshan Parva practising (Promise yourself) to speak less, to be calm, to be polite, to be humble, to be good, to be content, to be self control, to be happy, to forgive, to detached from un wanted and practice to continue the same in your daily life.
