VISION-25 (NEXT 25 YEARS to Come)
Pranam and Jai Jinendra,
Our community is growing, and our membership demographics are evolving. With changing times, we must adapt and innovate to meet the needs of our diverse and expanding membership. This document aims to gather your ideas and insights for the next 25 years. Share your vision for a vibrant and thriving future with the BOT. We need your help in identifying priorities and shaping the path forward for our community.
Please send your email to: and if you would like to talk, please contact one of the BOT members – especially Rameshbhai Shah or Nutanbhai Shah who are leading the Vision-25 plan.
These are some of the exciting ideas we are considering, and we need your help to identify the priorities. Let's work together to make these visions a reality, creating a bright and beautiful future for our temple and community!
- DERI (Darshan Facility): We're excited to propose a quick and convenient Darshan facility in the parking area! An AD-HOC committee will explore the feasibility of this small DERI, making it easier for seniors, disabled individuals, and busy professionals to enjoy Darshan without climbing steps.
- Canopy: To keep everyone comfortable during times of inclement weather, let's build a beautiful canopy above the elephants at the temple's entrance. This will make temple visits more pleasant for seniors and those with disabilities.
- Transportation Services: Imagine a reliable transportation service for our senior members, ensuring they can easily visit the temple. Frequency of the services and mode of transportation details needs to be studied. The service could be provided through volunteers or outside transportation company. We'll form a committee to work out the details, potentially partnering with temple volunteers or an outside transportation company.
- Temple Beautification: Let's form an AD-HOC committee to explore the exciting possibility of beautifying our temple's interior with stunning paintings, intricate carvings, and artistic depictions of religious events, just like the magnificent temples in India.
- Jain Academic School: Imagine a state-of-the-art, accredited Science and Technology Jain academic school! We'll form an AD-HOC committee to make this dream a reality, focusing on core subjects like math, science, chemistry, computer engineering, and leadership skills. This prestigious school will cater to high-income ethnic families and celebrate holidays like Mahavir Jayanti. Today, we have Jewish Caldian, Muslim, Divine child, Bloomfield international. and many other private schools. School teaches Math, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Computer engineering , Leadership skills, and Communications etc. This will be a highly reputed school and most of the high income American/Asian/Indian families kids will attend. Today, University of Florida offers Jainisum class as an elective. This project requires feasibility studies by interested members of our society.
- Senior Housing: Let's ensure our seniors have the best by forming an AD-HOC committee to study the feasibility of building senior housing facilities connected to our temple. Picture a community where seniors can live comfortably and stay connected with their spiritual home.
- Community services : Set a day or days when volunteers would go out and spend time in hospital to meet patients, orphanage home , senior citizen homes, animal shelter, or a food pantry. Form an AD-HOC committee to study feasibility of the project. The idea is, we care and give back to our community.
