Karuna bowed down and saluted him by saying, “Vande, Yuvacharyashree!” which Yuvacharyashree accepted with a wonderful smile. Again, we experienced inspiration and got into high spirit by a short encounter. That is what the sheer presence of a saint is bringing about.
Swami Dharmanandji's sister, Smt. Ratni Devi Surana, his brother-in-law, Vinod's father Sri Bhanwarlalji Surana, Swami Dharmanandji, Aprigraha, Nortanmal Ranka, son of maternal uncle of Bhanwarlalji Surana, Sushil Surana, younger brother of Vinod, Kanchan Pugalia, sister of Vinod Surana, Punam Chand Lunia, younger brother of Swami Dharmanandji, Babulal Ranka, younger brother of Nortanmal, Ashok Surana, youngest brother of Vinod. For us it now was time for lunch in the house of Swami Dharmanandji's sister and brother-in-law, Vinod's parents. The whole family Surana was around, parents, sons and daughter. Their son Sushil had come from Kolkata for Guru Darshan with his maternal uncle, Swami Dharmanandji's youngest brother. He stayed some more days and took care of us. We had a very good time with him in Taranagar, as will be reported in the coming articles.
It was a delicious meal and a very happy company; Karuna had enjoyed their hospitality already seven years ago and was happy to meet again with all of them and to present Aparigraha to them.
Opposite their house, on the way to our accomodation, we discovered a part of Taranagar's splendour of the past. During our sojourn in Taranagar, Swami Dharmanandji stayed with us in the ground floor of a house temporarily uninhabited, but furnished and surrounded by very friendly neighbours. We refreshed and followed Swami Dharmanandji to Terapanth Bhawan, where we also met Vinod.
Uma wanted to know what brought us to Taranagar and how we learned of Ahimsa Yatra. During their stay in Taranagar, Star City Cable reported on all events related to the saints and to those who have come to pay respect to them. Therefore, he and his cameraman were the whole time around Terapanth Bhawan to keep their audience informed on the latest news, events and most important visitors. When we wondered why people are watching TV instead of coming themselves, he referred to the many housewives who were just about to prepare the evening meal, while following our discussion.Swami Dharmanandji kindly responded on our behalf to all questions in local language.
