Achayra Shri Mahaprajna & his 3 year old - 5 year long Ahimsa Yatra today once again entered the princely state of Rajasthan in Western India. The Yatra was accorded a grand welcome by the devotees of Mewad, the region from where Acharya Shri entered the state.
The Ahimsa Yatra originally started from Rajasthan and then proceeded to Gujarat, Daman, Maharashtra & Madhya Pradesh to return once again to Rajasthan. This state it the birthplace of not just the Ahimsa Yatra, but of the entire Terapanth sect itself. The devotees welcomed Acharya Shri’s entry into the state in a grand manner. Right at the border with Madhya Pradesh, hundreds of devotees gathered to offer their respects to His Holiness and the other saints, sadhvis, sramanas & sramanis. Director General of Police for Rajasthan, Shri Arun Duggar was present to welcome and guide the entry of Ahimsa Yatra into Mewad region. At Nimbahera, the first town from the border, a huge welcoming ceremony was organized where in, devotees gathered in the thousands to pay respects to Acharya Shri & Yuvacharya Shri Maha Shramanji.
Present at the welcoming ceremony were newly elected Member of Parliament from Nimbahera - Shri Shrichandji Kriplani, Member of Legislative Assembly Shri Ashok Navlakha as well as D.G.P. Shri Arun Duggar. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Duggar not only welcomed Acharya Shri & Yuvacharya Shri but also requested His Holiness to give one full year to Rajasthan during the Ahimsa Yatra so that the problems of the state and its people would be lightened by the holy footsteps of His Holiness. M.P. Shri Shrichandji Kriplani too welcomed His Holiness and promised that with the blessings of Acharya Shri on the very next of his winning the elections, he Shrichand, will now work for the best development of the area and serve his voters in best possible manner for the next five years.
Yuvacharya Shri Maha Shramanji described the Ahimsa Yatra as a drive not just for the Terapanthi Jains but also for entire humanity. Reminiscing about Acharya Shri’s visit to Mumbai where He had met Saiyedna Saheb, the religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra sect, Yuvacharya Shri informed that Acharya Shri’s Ahimsa Yatra had met with unprecedented response in every area of its visit. This response was not just from Jains but from non-jains as well. Highlight of today’s function was also the presence of a large number of members of Dawoodi Bohra as well as other communities and religions. The entire gathering was then treated to a “Holy Pravachan” of Acharya Shri that left them spell bound and enchanted.
