Adjustments have to be made in order to have a peaceful and happy married and family life, said Acharya Mahaprajna to the more than 160 couples who had gathered to participate in a special camp. The camp was organized by Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Bhilwara at Nakoda Stats, Mandapiya village, about 10 kms outside of Bhilwara city.
Addressing the more than 1000 strong gathering including the 320 plus participants of the Young Couples camp, His Holiness stressed upon the principle of adjustment & peaceful co-existence for harmony in marriage. Acharya Shri stated that desires were natural to everyone, but in a marriage, both husband & wife need to co-relate with each other’s desires and make adjustments accordingly. Quoting Acharya Tulsi, His Holiness said that just as milk, sugar & rice, all having different tastes, blend to create “kheer”; couples too should blend themselves with each other. There should be oneness despite being two separate individuals.
Emotions should be controlled and behaviour so modelled that there arise no difference in opinion and hence the need for violence. Couples who wish to lead a religious and peaceful life should learn to train their mind to the partner’s desires. Only then will married life be happy and peaceful.
Following Acharya Shri’s pravachan, the couples participated in a Preksha Meditation & Jeevan Vigyan Shibir.
