To Create Inner Purification and Emotional Balance
Acharya Mahapragya has invented the 'Preksha Dhyan' procedure for the Spiritual and Moral Development of the individual. Changing a system is difficult but changing individuals and society is far more difficult. Practice of Preksha-Dhyan is an exercise in creating inner purification. It is highly valuable for developing Self-Confidence, Tolerance, Patience and Emotional Balance. 'Preksha-Dhyan' makes one look inwards with detachment. The various scientific methods of 'Preksha-Dhyan' not only project the Dharma in an entirely new perspective, but also make it an integral part of one's daily life. This is nothing less than a miracle in the World of Religion. It also creates a new perception that Religion without Science is lame and cannot gain necessary confidence of the people.
Before presenting 'Preksha-Dhyan' procedure to the people in an organized manner, Acharya Mahapragya subjected his own body to many trials and tribulations of meditation processes. As a recluse for months together and even in the solitary places, he lost himself into sustained reflections whereby his inner powers were awakened with his reaching the unfathomable depths of meditation. Many mysteries began to unfold themselves before him. Acharya Tulsi inspired Acharya Mahapragya for a unique experiment and on 3rd March 1977, he undertook an exercise of a long seclusion.
By diving deep into the depths of contemplation, Acharya Mahapragya has supplied us with 1. Swas Preksha (Perception of Breathing) 2. Sarir Preksha (perception of Organs of the body) 3. 'Chaitanya Kendra Preksha' (Perception of Psychic Centres) 4. Leshya Dhyan (Perception of Colours) 5. Anupreksha (Autosuggestion/contemplation). He has transcended the various realms of mind and entered the realm of intuition which is an innate faculty of one's own Consciousness.
