Deepavali lights the temple of the heart: it opens the sky of our inner heart, it is the day of Nirvana Kalyanaka of Lord Mahavir.

When he heard of Lord Mahavir s Nirvana, he lamented so much that his soul became free from all bondages of karmas; he achieved omniscience - the ultimate knowledge.
