Ānupūrvīnāma

A sub-type of Nāma (body-making) Karma, the Udaya (rise) of which is responsible for controlling the pathway of the Jīva (soul) in the Antarāla Gati (motion of the Jīva (soul) after death in the space)) if it transmigrates from through a curved path.

kūrpparalāṅgalagomūtrikākāreṇa yathākramaṃ dvitricatuḥ samayaprarnāṇena vigrahāṇa bhavāntarotpattisthānaṃ gacchato jīvasyānuśreṇiniyatā gamanaparipātī ānupūrvī, tadvipākavedyaṃ nāmakarmāpi kāraṇe kāryopacārāt ānupūrvī nāma.
