2016-2017 FIRST PATHSHALA: 28 Aug 2016 and Correction PATHSHALA PUJA is on 04 Sept 2016-Sunday

PATHSHALA: Please note it is on last Sunday of August 28 Aug 2016.
 
We will gather in the Temple for prayers followed by meditation and announcements.

Pathshala time: 10 AM Sharp.
We request all parents and kids to be present 10 min. earlier.
 
Schedule for Pathshala:
10:00 am - 10:30 am: Prayer & General Assembly
10:45 am - 12 45 pm: Religious class & Swadhyay
12:45 pm - 1.30 pm:  Lunch

 Correction PATHSHALA PUJA- 04 Sept 2016-Sunday:

IT HAS BEEN OUR TRADITION TO START THE PATHSHALA YEAR WITH ASTHA PRAKARI PUJA AND DEV SHASTRA GURU PUJA.THIS YEAR IT WILL BE ON SEPTEMBER 04rd SUNDAY.

The Astha Prakari Puja and Dev Shastra Guru Puja are on Sunday September 04th for all youth.  It is not necessarily only for the Pathashala students. 

All youth must be at the temple by 9:45 AM. 

Parents, please read the following instructions.

1.  All children younger than 9 must be accompanied by one of their parents.

2.  Children should wear clean freshly washed traditional Indian clothes; preferably   special puja clothes if they have them. Please do not wear pants, jeans, or shorts.

3.   After wearing puja clothes, children should not eat anything.  The puja clothes cannot be worn in bathrooms.

4. Parents should bring the following items for their children in one dish.

  1. One fruit. Please bring only apples or oranges. (Please do not bring soft fruits like banana, peach, plum, and grapes. Many soft fruits may have fruit flies and it is difficult to handle soft fruits after the puja.)
  2. A large size mouth cloth (Handkerchief) 
  3. 1/3 cup of rice
  4. Whole almonds (If you have them)
  5. One piece of dry sweet (e.g.  Barfi or Peda if you have them)
  6. One to three coins
  7. Flowers - no more than three (Optional)
