The 4th day of the Paryushan Parva is celebrated as Maun Divas (The day of maintaining taciturnity). Sadhvivarya Sadhvi Sambuddh Yasha melodiously sang a Geet composed by His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman. The gist of this Geet is - Our spiritual beauty is magnified by self-control.
His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman preached in today's Prime Sermon that, Two types of poison are perceived. One is elaborating a small matter and the second is the elaborated matter being worthless. Two qualities of speech are the speech should be to the point and sensible. Reticence should remain in our life. People practice taciturnity also for 1, 2 or 3 hours. Practicing taciturnity is a good practise can be adopted as per their ease. But, in the absence of taciturnity we should maintain reticence. The Paryushan Parva is going on. During this period reticence should be specially maintained and our tongue should turn. By this practice reticence of our speech can be accomplished. It is desirable to practise reticence.
