The period 700 BC to 200 BC creates the social foundation of the culture that we call India. Through a principle of mutual friendship and cultural creativity, the message of India easily moved through the mountains and the seas to a large segment of her neighbors. The foundation of life style, art, music, dance, sculpture, literature, hygiene, health and human character developed through creative contemplation and scientific reasoning. Schools, vocational guilds and higher education universities flourished that attracted students, scholars and teachers from all around the world. It became the period of the invasion by the Greek warrior Prince Alexander followed by the expansive empire of native Ashoka.
The researchers at India Discovery Center would help reconstruct the cultural history from the available resources with the added angle of self-discovery. The goal is to help understand our own inner attributes that are rooted in the cultural tradition of India. We probe India's cultural identity and her contributions to the world civilization.
