Tapoviṇīta

One whose mind is engrossed in tapa-vinaya (modesty qua penance) and who, by undertaking Tapa (austerity or penance) gets rid of ignorance and takes his soul closer to Mokṣa (liberation).

avaṇeti taveṇa tamaṃ, uvaṇeti ya mokkhamaggamappāṇaṃ.

tava viṇayanicchitamatī, tavoviṇīo havati tamhā..
