The means by which this living energy evolves are three. They are right vision or seeing, (Samyag Darshan), right knowledge [Samyag Jnana), and right conduct {Samyag Charitra). These are known as the three jewels of Jain philosophy. With these three jewels we evolve and liberate ourselves.
Right Vision - What is right vision? Right visionis no belief in a church or temple or anything outside. It is seeing and believing in yourself. You believe that "I am consciousness, and the quality of consciousness is the state of excellence. This is my quality."
From this understanding, the whole process of development unfolds. As long as a person does not have this vision or belief, she or he is working only outside, on the periphery and not in the center. But when you say, "I have light within me, I have inherent live energy of conviction, I have the power to remove the revenge and bitterness of all the years in my realization, and I have freedom to choose every moment of my life. I can do it!" That is called Samyag Darshan, right vision. And when you are aware of your freedom of choice, you are able to do it.
To go to the root of all the problems and to get a permanent solution, comes only from right understanding, right guidance and deep faith in oneself. To unfold faith in oneself is knowledge. For that we direct our energy inside toward the self. Here, we start training our mind. We throw light on our mind because mind has a habit of directing its energy outside.
