Jain Alert Group Paryushan Project
Pranam!
Paryushan is a time when the entire Jain Sangh comes together to celebrate, learn, fast and come closer to the true self. However, given its timing, many of our children are not able to partake in any activities because of college. Due to extra restrictions, they often struggle with making or finding food.
This year, the Jain Alert Group of Michigan helped ease the worries of Jain students at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor as well as Wayne State University. Most of these students were from out of town or from India. We provided full day meals as well as homemade sweets and snacks to 25 students for all 8 days of Paryushan!
This would not have been possible without our numerous volunteers who cooked, packed, organized and delivered the food. We would like to recognize them below. Khub Khub Anumodana to all our volunteers!
