JSGD 2024 DAS LAKSHAN MAHA PARV

Dear Society Members,

Jai Jinendra and Pranam,

This year JSGD is celebrating Das Lakshan Maha Parva from Sept 8, 2024 through September 18, 2024. This is a festival of self-introspection, self-enlightenment, and self-achievement. We will have Das Lakshan Puja everyday during these days in morning and Bhakti Sandhya/Hindi Swadhyay in evening.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be celebrating "Kshamavani Day" on Sunday, September 22 2024. We are going to do Kshamavani Pujan @ 09:30 AM followed by Swamivatsalya.

Please RSVP by September 21st, 2024 to help us prepare the food.

NOMINATION COMMITTEE

The BOT wishes all the Tapasvis are in good Sata. The BOT would also like to seek your forgiveness during this Paryushan time. Micchami Dukkadam.

The BOT are pleased to announce the formation of the Nomination Committee, which will lead the process of identifying and selecting candidates for the Executive Committee (EC) and the Board of Trustees (BOT) for the upcoming term.
The Nomination Committee will be chaired by Anil Jain and consists of the following esteemed members:

• Vishal Doshi
• Rachna Parakh
• Niral Shah
• Rupen Shah

This committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring a fair, transparent, and diligent search for candidates who are dedicated to serving our Society and upholding the values of our Temple.

We encourage all interested members of the Jain Society who wish to contribute through service on either the EC or BOT to reach out to the Nomination Committee. Details on how to express interest and the criteria for candidacy will be shared shortly.
We are grateful to the members of the Nomination Committee for taking on this important task, and we look forward to their guidance in identifying strong leadership for our temple.

Jiv Daya Committee wishes you a Sukha Shata and Michchhami Dukkddam at the auspicious time of Paryushan and Das Lakshana. Jains around the world practice Jiv Daya by following Ahimsa in their daily lives and wholeheartedly supporting Jiv Daya activities during this auspicious time.

On behalf of Jiv Daya committee we would like to thank you all our members and supporters for your generous contributions last year during 25th anniversary and Paryushana. With your support we are able, able to distribute and in process for buying fodder for many panjrapoles and materials for project in Rajasthan, India. Thanks to Ajay Ajmera our JSGD member and Kiranbhai Shah Trustee of Vichia Panjarpole for fund/fodder distribution process in India. We also distributed fund here is USA for cause. We also participated with JAINA to build Panchasar Panjrapole District Patan, India, in memory of Gurudev Shree Chitrabhanuji. These contributions will make a remarkable difference and will provide invaluable services to mute, sick, aged, and helpless animals and birds in rural areas of India and here in the USA. Thank you all from bottom of our hearts for your generosity in a record. This year due to excessive rain in many parts of India has created lot of hardship on humans and animals and shelters.

The Jiv Daya committee requests your support in taking care of animals. The impact of even a small donation makes a big difference in the lives of these animals. Every year we target to raise more than $ 10,000 around Parva. For information, Please make check in favor of “JSGD, with memo stating Jiv Daya”. Please, If You have any suggestions or know needy Panjarpoles please bring to our attention. We can support in purchasing Grass or Fodder due to government of India Regulations.

JAINA CONVENTION IN CHICAGO (JULY 2025)

Dear JSGD Members,

I am pleased to announce that a dedicated WhatsApp group has been created for all JSGD members who have registered for the Chicago JAINA Convention, scheduled to take place from July 3 to 6, 2025. As your Convention Board Member, I, Rajiv Shah, have initiated this group to ensure that all attendees from JSGD stay informed and connected throughout the convention.

This WhatsApp group will serve multiple purposes:

1. Stay Updated: We will regularly post important updates, schedules, and announcements related to the convention. This will be your go-to source for the latest information.

2. Ask Questions: If you have any questions about the convention, whether related to travel, accommodation, or event specifics, feel free to ask them here. We will do our best to provide prompt and accurate responses.

3. Coordinate Logistics: The group will also be used to coordinate transportation, meal arrangements, and other logistics specific to JSGD members, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

4. Plan Activities: We are planning activities and gatherings specifically for JSGD attendees during the convention. This group will be the primary channel for organizing these events and making sure everyone is on the same page.
