Friday the 9th June: People started calling Swami Dharmanandji from early morning to greet and wish him on his birthday.
Khaleej Times, largest circulating english news paper in UAE prominently carried a detailed report about Swamiji's Dubai visit under the heading: "BE YOUR OWN THERAPIST ".
Morning programme started at 0930 am at Function Room of Twin Tower with chorus singing of "Atma Sakhshatkaar Preksha Dhyaan Ke Dwara" (perceive and experience the soul thru practice of Preksha Meditation) penned by none other than Late Ganadhipati Tulsi. Swami Dharmanandji took time after recital of each stanza and explained the meaning thereof. R K Bengani introduced today's topic and requested Swamiji to talk on 'How to lead a long & Healthy Life'.
In this context, Swamiji talked about importance of good dietary habits, avoiding vices like tobbacco and alchohol and other addictives and adverse impact of stress on health.
Towards this end, he talked about benefits of Preksha Meditation. Tranquil surroundings of function room and fragrance of burning incense made people request for a practical session of Preksha Meditation, which Swamiji willingly obliged.
Towards the end of programme, R K Bengani said that although we can not share the meditation but we can share our experiences of meditation. This set the tone for others and some of participants then shared the joys, happiness and their experiences, which they felt during the meditation practice. They also talked about difficulties they faced in maintaining the meditation postures and keeping the mind from wavering here and there. Swamiji answered their queries and gave suitable guidance for overcoming such temporary obstacles.
Today being Swamiji's last full day in Dubai on this trip, several people rushed to Swamiji for personal consultations and asked remedies for their physical and emotional problems. Then it was time to say farewells to Mohnot Family who had happily made their home available for the programmes.
Evening programme started at 8:00 pm at Sindhi Ceremonial Centre with singing of "Prabhu Tumhaare Pawan Path Par Jeevan Arpan Hai Saara" (Oh God.. I devote my whole life walking the sacred path shown by you). Several new people came to the programme as a result of newspaper coverage.
As an extension of topic taken this morning, Swamiji talked about reasons, effects and remedies of stress. He said purity of food intake, purity of thoughts, good environment, good inter-personal relationships, living within available financial means, daily physical exercises are some of they key factors which can help us in leading a stress free life. He then asked Nirmalaji to demonstrate some light exercises which one day follow on daily basis.
The audience, including security personnel of Sindhi Ceremonial Centre participated in those exercises.
Swamiji then guided the group thru a relaxation and meditation practice. After answering some of the questions from floor, Swamiji asked and Mr Anjay Mohnot demonstrated steps of some asans.
Swamiji also interjected some variations from traditional postures of those asans and explained the reasons and benefits of those variations.
All the while, the clock was ticking. Inspite of over running the scheduled closing time, people were asking more questions and more tips. On behalf of the whole group, R K Bengani offered a note of thanks to Swamiji and Nirmalji for finding time to visit Dubai. He also conveyed Best Wishes for complete success of Swamiji's rest of trip top London, Birmingham and Berlin. Last but not least, the group extended invitation to Swamiji for his next visit to Dubai.
On 10th morning, the Bengani family said their farewells to Swami Dharmanandji and Nirmalaji.
