Its Ahimsa festival in Bhilwara as residents welcome Acharya Mahaprajna with massive rally.

The entire city of Bhilwara was today coloured in Ahimsa colours as Acharya Mahaprajna entered this industrial town with his entourage. Almost the entire city turned out onto the streets to welcome His Holiness on his noble quest for world peace.

Citizens of Bhilwara turned out in thousands to greet the Ahimsa Yatra as it entered the city early today morning at around 7:00 am. Members of Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Jeevan Vigyan Academy as well as other Terapanth related organisations joined to organise a massive rally to welcome their religious leader. Passing through various areas of the city, the rally culminated to form a huge gathering at the Government Higher Secondary School, Rajendra Marg. Slogans of “Nij Par Sashan, Phir Anusashan” & “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma” filled the air. Children, youths as well as senior people all joined in the celebrations to welcome the Supreme Head of the Terapanth sect. Every colour of the Rajasthani dress code was on display in the gathering - right from the “Paghdi” or turban to the gaghra choli. While members of the Mahila Mandal were in saffron saris, the young girls were in white dresses and the men attired in white kurta pyjamas.

From every angle, it looked as if the citizens of Bhilwara were celebrating. And celebrate they should. After all their supreme religious head had come to Bhilwara after a long long time.
