Ones, when Acharya Bhikshu was undertaking the penances by lying down on the hot sand of a dry riverbed in the scorching heat of the sun, two of the senior manks, Muni Thirpalji and Muni Fatehachandji, approached Acharya Bhikshu. In a polite way, they made a suggestion: “Gurudev! We request you to continue your efforts of spreading the truth among the public, for you have a sharp and creative intelligence and an extra-ordinary capacity to instruct the people. Let people be benefited by your thoughts. Kindly give up the secluded life, leaving to us to undertake the penances”. Acharya Bhikshu listened to their proposal carefully, thought it over deeply and finally accepted it in addition to his own spiritual good of the masses. The request of elderly monks thus, resulted in the growth of Terapantha.
