Speaking at a function held at the Rashraparti Bhawan, President of India Mrs. Pratibha Devendra Singh Patil  said, increasing incidence of female foeticides is a most distressing phenomenon, which puts a question mark on the development of humanity. It is such a contradiction of the modern way of life which has shaken the concepts of the existence and identity of the human being The problem is extremely grave and unnerving. However, we are yet to realize its critical consequences. Terapanth Mahila Mandal has brought to light a burning question facing the society and the nation. I appreciate the noble work of TMM. On this occasion she met with some representative of Terapanth Mahila Mandal in the leadership of President of TMM Smt Rajani Bafana.  In this function Smt Sunita Jain Vice- President of TMM.delhi, Smt. Suman Nahata  Vice- President of TMM.delhi, Smt Saroj Chhajer Secretary TMM and Smt. Bharati Kanther Convener  of TMM South Delhi were briefed and highlighted about  the principle and  philosophy laid down by Acharya Mahaprajna.

Smt Pratibha Patil  launched the special issue of Anuvrat fortnightly Magazine and said we need to implement the philosophy of Anuvrat in practical life, not just in thoughts. This special issue was  presented by  Smt. Bharati Kanther to President. A book “Mahatma Mahaprajna” written by Yuvacharya Mahashraman was also presented by Smt. Saroj Chajjer to President.

Smt. Pratibha Patil  said we want peace and harmony because there is no alternative to it. In this  age of nuclear bomb, communal violence and terrorism there is no way to resolve problems other than through peaceful and non-violent means. She said people need to adopt the golden principal of non-violence, ankeanta, world peace, brotherhood and communal harmony that was proposed by Acharya Mahaprajna.
