A Heartfelt Mangal Bhavana (Vidai) Samaroh for Samanijis

On Jan 2, 2011, JVB NJ hosted Mangal Bhavana (Vidai) Samaroh for Samani Sanmati Pargyaji and Samani Shukla Pragyaji at American Legion Hall in Iselin, NJ. The program was attended by more than 150 members and guests.

At the very outset, Samanijis inaugurated the program with Navkar Mantra Jaap. This was followed by Annual General Meeting Notes, presented by JVB NJ President Sunil Mehta along with the members of the Executive Committee. The AGM summarized the programs held during the year and touched upon the financial highlights for 2010. Later the meeting was opened up for audience queries and suggestions.

In the next segment of the program, several speakers - adults (Virendra Jain, Nilesh Jain, Surendra Kankariya, Ramesh Parmar, Slisha Kankariya) and Gyanshala children (Aditya Jain, Apurva Jain, Bhoomika Jain, Sanket Jain, Arnav Sacheti) shared their experiences with Samanijis, and spoke about how the different activities such as Preksha Meditation, Yoga, Swadhyay, Gyanshala, and others, held during the year under Samanijis’ guidance, have benefitted their lives. A melodious Vidai Geet was presented by the JVB NJ members (Kamal Daga, Sunil Bothra, Sushma Sodhia, Uma Gupta, Sharad Gupta, Shilpa Bhansali, Tejal Gosalia). A parallel session for children was also conducted by volunteers.

The highlight of the program was Samanijis’ pravachans, which were very enlightening and very well received by the attendees. Samani Shukla Pragyaji provided the attendees with symbolic parting gifts of a candle, a hair, and a needle, and encouraged all to draw inspiration from these simple objects. Samani Sanmati Pragyaji emphasized on the wisdom of “Main Khush Hoon” (I’m Happy) and “Mera so jaye nahin, Jo jaye so mera nahin” (What is mine will not be lost, what I lost was never mine).

On the occasion of the New Year, Samanijis presented each family with Acharya Mahashraman’s New Year message, a Mantra, and a Pratikraman CD (Sponsored by Pratap Jain). The program concluded with the recitation of Mangal Path followed by Sadharmik Vatsalya. The Master of Ceremony for the program was Varsha Mehta and the program was sponsored by:
