2012 Karuna's Mewar Tour
My Mewar Tour started like all our India Tours in Mehrauli, Chhattarpur Road, at Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra, with meeting Swami Dharmanandji and his wife Nirmalaji. Twelve years ago was my first stay there on my way to spirituality. It has become a good tradition to start an India trip with the help and the advice of these close friends.
Arrival was advertised at 04:00 am, landing at 04:30am. Delhi Airport had undergone an enormous clearance in the past two years. Even the typical smell had vanished. I suppose due to the Commonwealth Games in 2010 Delhi Airport had changed into a 21st century airport. Even the entrance to India was faster and seemed better organised than earlier ones.
Outside the building, Mr. Kirpassankar awaited me together with the driver. It was a relaxed arrival in early morning Delhi, not much passers-by and only few cars. After reaching the Kendra, falling into bed was wonderful. Even heater was in the room. This was very good, as temperatures still were rather low this 24th January.
After some hours the well-known knock at the door, meeting with Guruji and breakfast in his residence. Again some short hours of antemeridian sleep, then lunch. First lunch in India. Aha, it’s real, my mind noticed. After lunch short rest, and then going to the station where foreigners can purchase train tickets according to foreigners’ ticket quote. Wow. It was not easy to find the office, the only place where my ticket to Mavli Junction could be purchased. Mavli junction was next to my destination Amet. After some time, all was done, and we went back to the Kendra by Metro, according to my wish.
After dinner, I participated in the evening meditation guided by Swami Dharmanand ji. This was real relaxation, and after it I fell asleep until next morning.
Next morning, after breakfast we went to M.C. Primary Model School Sultanpur for Celebration of Republic Day. This government Model School was created to give a chance to become a professional for the disadvantaged. Afterwards I was told that the majority of the students’ parents did not have the chance to go to school. All teachers were as committed as their principal to the noble case to help their students to find a respected place in society.
Many students already were eagerly waiting for the celebration to start. Some of them were selected for the performance in front of the guests of honor, Swami Dharmanandji, some of the senior teachers and myself.
