Kobe Mahaveer Jain Temple

is a modern Jain mandir in Kitano quarter of Kobe, Japan.

It was on June 1st, 1985 when the formal opening ceremony of the above temple was performed. Prior to opening of the said temple, Jain followers in Kobe used ton congregate at their residences by turns to give prayers where a photo of Lord Mahaveer was placed. The idol of Bhagwan Mahaveer was specially flown from Mumbai (India) in 1984 and the panch kalyanak pratistha was held in April same year. The temple incorporates all important features of Jain temples as in India which has been built with the funds contributed by the Jain community members of Japan.
