Jain Vishva Bharati London congratulated Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on the anniversary of her Diamond Jubilee. Audience at a lecture on Sunday, 3rd June in Harrow (North West London) joined Samani Pratibha Pragya and Samani Vipul Pragya in wishing Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her family a long and healthy life. Samanijis recited Namaskar Mahamantra, Mangal Bhavana and Mangal Path.
To mark 60 years of her reign many members from interfaith organisations including Jains have met HM Queen Elizabeth. The Queen is marking her Diamond Jubilee with a series of regional visits and engagements throughout the United Kingdom and Leicester was the first stop on the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour. Over 40 per cent of the residents of Leicester describe themselves as being from ethnic minority communities and the Indian community make up the largest minority group (over 28 per cent). City of Leicester has one of the most magnificent Jain temples outside India.
