After training on Preksha Meditation at the hands of Acharya Shri Mahaprajna and Shri Jetha Bhai Javeri, for last 20 years he is associated with Preksha Meditation and presently he is in-charge for Preksha Meditation, Jain Swetambar Terapanth Sect.

Bio-Data:

  • Born on March 03, 1954 at Bhilwara District, Rajasthan, India, Dr. G. L. Jain has right from his young age been actively participating in society related activities like Scouting, Mountaineering, Cultural and Sports. This has led him to several awards including President’s Scout Award (1969); President’s Rover Award (1972).
  • Dr. Jain is Master of Science (Chemistry), Gold Medalist from Rajasthan University, India & Ph. D. (Biomedical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. He has received his technical training in the field of medical devices and drugs in USA. His dedicated research work was recognized as National Research & Development Corporation.(NRDC) Republic Day 1990 Award for invention & National Technology Award 1990 for best invention for the handicapped (Min. of Welfare) conferred by President of India
  • On United Nations and Govt. of India mission, he visited National Drugs Laboratory, Finland, US FDA, Health and Welfare Canada, British Standard Institute, U.K., W.H.O. in Geneva and European Community in Brussels and France.
  • He started his career in 1976 as Foreman in a Chemical Industries and after a rich experience of 17 years at Indian Institute of Technology and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi as faculty in Biomedical Engineering now he one of the Directors in Corporate Channels India Pvt. Ltd. a medical device industry located at Udaipur, India. An academician turned into an entrepreneur.
  • He has supervised three M. S.; three Ph. D. and one BHMS thesis.
  • He has served as General Secretary of the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs (India). He is Life Member of Bio-medical Engineering Society of India and Indian Pharmaceutical Association.
  • To his credit he has 5 Indian Standards; 4 Patents/know-how transfers; 45 Journal Publication & Conference Presentations and 14 Scientific Reports/ documents;
  • He is well known technologist in the field of Copper T (an intrauterine contraceptive device) and Tubal Ring (a female sterilization device) world-over and was instrumental in indigenization of these devices.
  • In India, he is one of the leaders in the field of Medical Devices and had been associated with Drugs Authorities in formulating Medical Device GMP regulations.
  • He equally takes part in religious activities. He is:

    • Yuvak Ratna (Award 1994) by Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad
    • Member, Governing Council : Bhagwan Mahavir Memorial Samiti,
    • Member, Executive Council: Bhagwan Mahavir 2600th Janm Kalyanak Mahotsava Mahasamiti.

    • Member, Managing Committee, Terapanth Vikas Parishad
