Sunama, 15.05.2006
The Ahimsa Yatra reached Sunama where the chairperson and vice-chairman of the Municipality and many heads of the town administration facilitated H.H. Acharyashree and the Ahimsa Yatris.
In His sermon, H.H. Acharyashree said, “India is a religious country which is said many times. This statement should only be understood in its relative term. There are many temples, Muths and religious places, so it can be called a religious country. In reality, the country is religious only when the residents follow religion in their life. If India had been a religious country, problems like dowry, harassment, rape and feticide would not have been there. Millions of people would not have to go to sleep with empty stomach. The practical aspect of religion is non-violence and compassion. Where the religion does not solve the problems of life, it is limited to the rituals and confined to religious books only. It does not become useful for day-to-day life. Therefore, it is necessary that the reflection of religion should appear in our life. “
The programme was conducted by Kewal Krishan Jain.
