H.H. Acharyashree reached Spring Dale School, Sangrura, with the Ahimsa Yatra. After the speech of Yuvacharya Mahashraman, H.H. gave his sermon and said, “Today is the full moon day of Baisakha month, which is called Buddha Purinima. In the cultural development of India, Bhagwan Buddha and Mahavira had played a great role. Both the great saints had given a new turn in Indian thought. Both had supported that the casteism becomes dangerous only when there is a difference based on touchable and untouchable.
Lord Mahavira laid emphasis on non-violence and self-restraint, Lord Buddha on compassion. The meaning of compassion is that a person should also feel for others what he feels for himself. Today we are facing the problem of corruption. The man, who lacks compassion and sensitiveness, becomes corrupt. Today we Indians should learn the lesson of compassion. To have the vow of developing compassion is a path to save us from many troubles.
