Blending of Preksha Meditation & Yoga with Modern Medical Science is Necessary

If a person searches for the truth within him self, all the problems related to the body, mind and soul will be solved.
Acharya Mahapragya

These were the views expressed by Acharya Shri Mahapragya at Anuvibha in Malviya Nagar at the All India Doctors’ Seminar organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal.

Acharya Shri said that the refinement of our thoughts is very essential. There are both positive and negative thoughts in our minds and we have tried to research this through Preksha Meditation. These minute and detailed points are also a matter of great importance for Medical Science in today’s world. And we can benefit in a big way from such findings. If along with the body and mind, life and thoughts also get combined in medical sciences, the impact will be more powerful.

Yuvacharya Shri Mahashraman compared the human body to a boat and problems to the holes in the boat. He stressed that we try to keep our body free from these problems. He said that apart from paying attention to our diet, we should also concentrate on cleansing our thoughts of all impurities and distractions, so that the evils like anger, envy, jealousy, ego, etc can be removed.

Yuvacharyashri also said that based on his personal experience, he can say that Preksha Meditation techniques are very beneficial for the health.

On this occasion the ex-HOD of Cardiac Department of AIMS, Dr. SC Manchanda, said that along with physical, mental and social well being, Emotional and spiritual well being is also necessary. It is a proven scientific fact that many heart patients have benefited from Preksha Meditation. If there is a blend between Preksha Meditation & yoga with modern medical science, then many diseases can be controlled. He also explained through means of slides that the patients who used Preksha Meditation techniques, they experienced very positive results. Through the tests it was observed that the patients experienced around 20% reduction in Cholesterol levels, 73% in Enzyna, 20% in Angiography, and around 80% curtailed the growth of the disease. Dr. Manchanda also said that the people who regularly meditated experienced longer life spans and with less heart troubles or chances of cancer.

He also specified that in India the number of heart patients and diabetics is increasing tremendously and it is proving to be an expensive affair as well. According to an estimate in Delhi alone within a year 20,000 Crore rupees are spend on heart diseases. He also said that mental stress and diseases are as harmful as consumption of tobacco.

Sadhvipramukha Kanakprabha, on this occasion, said that for a healthy lifestyle physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being, are extremely important. She said that Anuvrat and Preksha Dhyaan clean our spiritual and emotional aspect.
