JVBNA is planning to stage a play entitled Mahasati Anjana, as part of its annual function in the 2nd weekend of November 2008. People, who are familiar with the Chandanbala play staged in 2005, are familiar with the scale and scope involved in the production. And this means that we need to start planning and preparing for it at the earliest.
MAHASATI ANJANA
We all know the great Hanuman - his devotion, celibacy, and bravery. However, we are not aware of the source of his many qualities. The story of Mahasati Anjana sheds light on this secret. The play encompasses many emotions, tragedy, suspense, and comedy. The colorful story shows how a single sentence can bring about negativity, how doubt can split a relationship and how spirituality can bring happiness. The play also reflects upon Karmic theory - that none can escape from karma.
To stage this interesting and emotional play, JVBNA needs 20 -25 actors. This is a great opportunity to express your talent.
- Actors must be fluent in spoken Hindi.
- Actors should be able to act and express themselves well.
- Actors will be required to devote their time for rehearsals held once a week, every week starting in the month of April.
